About us

We specialise in training and mentoring new engineers and technicians from basic railway skills through to specific railway signalling requirements whilst allowing for heritage ‘lost skills’ and embracing new technologies that are ever appearing. We also provide specialise services to principal contractors in the early developments of testing strategies and implementation plans through to project delivery and signalling assurance through the approved industry standards required for approving new and altered signalling systems.

History

We formed the company in late 2008 to consolidate our current skills set and focus at the time for railway signalling assurance services. This allowed experience and contacts within the UK rail market to be put to productive use as a consultancy base and field engineering services to Network Rail and other railway infrastructure companies. We as a small dedicated team of engineers offer nearly thirty years collective experience in engineering and specialist signalling abilities. We allocate training to around four new engineers from outside of the railway industry each year.

Customer Focus

snUK was created to offer assurance, competence and consulting services to the rail industry, but not in the same way everyone else has been doing so. We proud ourselves on creating, inventing and continually developing new ways of achieving the safety assurance of signalling systems and devising quicker, more efficient and cost effective methods to implement new and altered signalling systems. The driver for our those is the need to save costs as directed by the DfT to Network Rail since April 2009. We have a part to play in that mission and we have ideas that will help our customers deliver projects each time at less cost – improving each time they do so.
